Rappers as MCU Characters

If you ever wondered who I thought the Hip Hop equivalents of some of MCUs characters were, then look no further than this post.  Since I can't find a pic of the MCU incarnation of Spider-Man and Deadpool won't be rocking in the MCU, here's a quick freebie for who I think their counterparts are.

Because I haven't talked enough about my enjoyment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on this blog and because I've found another way to mix movies with rappers.  Welcome to a list of the rapper counterparts of some of the MCU characters.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Jay Z is the Hip Hop Iron Man

Why you have to agree:
Despite questionable decisions like Tidal/Ultron and not having the best record of playing well with others, Jay Z has earned the respect if not reluctant admiration of his peers. He seems to be able to set the trends and back up all this bragging when he absolutely needs to.  He even has a significant other who is just as motivated as him to share the wealth with.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Nas is the Hip Hop Captain America

Why you have to agree:
While he's still popular now, Nas, is definitely riding the wave of early success.  Any fan of his knows that they're waiting for him to make his second Illmatic/punching Hitler in the jaw.  All shade aside, he is a born leader and deserves his place at the top.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Kanye West is the Hip Hop Thor

Why you have to agree:
I don't know if you know this, but Kanye is a God!  Seriously though, no matter what a bunch of people who don't even like hip hop will tell you, Kanye is a talented person.  If he could just get that ego in check (like first film Thor) he might just get everyone on his side and be respected the way he should be.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Eminem is the Hip Hop Hulk

Why you have to agree:
Although he keeps referencing Thor and Odin, I have to admit that I findEminem is best when he is angry.  Watching Marshall point his rage in the right direction and go to work is never not entertaining and most times can be described as awe-inspiring.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Jean Grae is the Hip Hop Black Widow

Why you have to agree:
Much like, Black Widow, Jean Grae is so good at what she does, it's puzzling that she still get's downgraded to "good for a girl."  Operating mostly off the radar, Jean should be given more opportunities to shine without being the sidekick to a male character.  Having said that, here's my favourite performance by her as she assists a male artist on his song.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Ludacris is the Hip Hop Hawkeye

Why you have to agree:
I would just be hating if I don't think Ludacris is a talented rapper.  Just like I'd have to be hating if Ididn't recognize that Hawkeye is doing some pretty impressive things out there.  Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be space for someone like Ludacris/Barton.  He should be respected more than he is but he just flat out gets overlooked.  Yet and still, if you don't like either of them, I can't really be mad at you.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Fabolous is the Hip Hop Falcon

Why you have to agree:
While no one is really considering either Falcon or Fabolous as a leader or viable option for one of the best, they are constantly proving that, while they're not quite there yet, they definitely will be.  Fabolous should be considered one of the BK ambassadors and yet he's hit a glass ceiling of sorts.  Falcon seems to think it's cool to create his own ceiling by just being Cap's wing man.  Both can do better and should be doing better.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Memphis Bleek is the Hip Hop War Machine

Why you have to agree:
Memph is my dude, I hate it had to be him.  Look, in the Marvel Universe there is no better example of someone who was supposed to blow but got stuck in someone's shadow than War Machine.  Memphis Bleek can relate.  He's still just that one hit away I guess.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Royce da 5'9 is the Hip Hop Winter Soldier

Why you have to agree:
Royce and Bucky both scare people too much for them to be considered one of the greats.  Seriously, though, Royce has got all the tricks up his sleeve that people he is considered inferior to have and yet he rarely comes up in the top 10 lists.  The best thing to do is get him around his "superior" and see how they can go bar for bar/wield the shield.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Nicki Minaj is the Hip Hop Scarlet Witch

Why you have to agree:
Wanda and Onika are capable of some really cool things when they're performing at their best.  Unfortunately, some people let their accent/accents get in the way of recognizing they have skills.  Also they both have entirely too close relationships with their "brothers."

Rapper/MCU Character:
Lil Wayne is the Hip Hop Quicksilver

Why you have to agree:
Oh boy these guys had quite the "run!"  But, lately, things are looking different for them both.  It might be too early too call their careers dead but, jeeze... show us some signs of life!  Both dope, just maybe a bit underwhelming as of late.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Talib Kweli is the Hip Hop Vision

Why you have to agree:
Talib and Vision will most likely be looked at like outsiders their whole lives.  Undeniably gifted and more than qualified to pick up that hammer and yet they just can't play the game like everyone else.  They're always going to be a bit removed and too aware of what's really going on.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Mackelmore is the Hip Hop Ant-Man

Why you have to agree:
Macklemore, much like his MCU counterpart, Scott Lang, may be getting more screen time than he deserves.  However, he respects the game and will always pay tribute where it's due.  He's not so bad.  He's beat some more talented peers where it counts and is definitely fun in "small" doses [I AM HILAROUS]!

Rapper/MCU Character:
Kendrick Lamar is the Hip Hop Black Panther

Why you have to agree:
Trust me when I say Kendrick and T'Challa are both kings.  You might not know either just yet, but they're about to take over their respective universes.

Rapper/MCU Character:
50 Cent is the Hip Hop Loki

Why you have to agree:
50 and Loki started out as villains, but when you dig down deep you have to admit that not only do you want to see more of them, you want them to win.  You want to see them do well on some level.  They're that disarming in their mischievousness.

Rapper/MCU Character:
Dr. Dre is the Hip Hop Nick Fury

Why you have to agree:
If I wanted to wrangle all these rappers/MCU characters who would be the person to make that dream team album work?  Dr. Dre/Nick Fury.  Operating in secrecy and sometimes out of the limelight long enough for people to possibly forget about them, Nick and Andre have both jumped into action but also have enough respect to lead people without jumping into the fray.
