Ranking TV's Comic Book Universe

If you're new to the TDF brand you may be surprised to learn that I enjoy Super Heroes and comic book frivolity in general.   While Marvel and, to a much lesser extent, DC continue to pump out material on film;  TV has quietly put together its own universe of heroes.  I mean who saw this collaboration coming?

This is a spin off of a spin off that doesn't come off as completely laughable.  If you're wondering which shows are worth your time or at least which ones I enjoy the most you should keep reading.  And no I didn't watch Constantine.

TV Show:
#1 Daredevil (Netflix/Marvel)

What I Think:
Wow!  Based on how the other Marvel shows preformed on this list, this show came out of nowhere with the goods for me.  I talked about this show on the Spoiled Rotten Podcast pilot episode, however, I must add that this show is an adult outing that forces you to respect it while never feeling too self important.

TV Show:
#2 Arrow (CW/DC)

What I Think:
I will be the first to admit that the acting is a big hurdle to get over when you're trying to get into this show.  However, the fight scenes make everything all better.  So I guess come for the fights and stay for the genuinely good story telling (save for a distracting reliance on flashbacks) and interesting characters.  This is as close to getting a live action Batman show this fan will ever get.

TV Show:
#3 The Flash (CW/DC)

What I Think:
Remember that movie Rookie of the Year?  That dude went on to be in American Pie... the point is this Flash show is the rookie of the year.  It came in and almost instantly fell into a similar if not better groove than Arrow.  It is the A Different World to Arrow's Cosby Show.  And probably has just as many black leads.  Just kidding.  It is nice to see diversity in this show though.

TV Show:
#4 Agent Carter (ABC/Marvel)

What I Think:
I mean...  it'll probably get as good as people make it seem.  I'm like 4 episodes in and at this point I'm wondering why they took all of Peggy's authority away.  I get why historically it makes sense that one of my favourite characters from The First Avenger is now having to sneak around to be effective but all I can do is assume that this will all pay off by the end of the season.

TV Show:
#5 Gotham (Fox/DC)

What I Think:
You can read my initial thoughts on this show HERE.  I still think Ben McKenzie is a hindrance but I don't mind his wife to be much anymore.  I gave up on this show and then came back just to see the moment above... that's right another potential Joker.  I still think that the show should have been about Penguin but I did think the Bruce Wayne stuff got interesting especially once he teamed up with Selina.  However, the only reason this show isn't tied for last is because I am such a Batman fan.

TV Show:
#6 Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. (ABC/Marvel)

What I Think:
Say word!  I am usually playing on my phone when this is on too!  If I wasn't so concerned about missing out on elements that might be incorporated in the far superior cinematic universe, I probably wouldn't be watching this show.  And yeah... I expanded on my thoughts about this show HERE.
